Replacement Bulb Sockets

I have a large selection of bulb sockets and lamp holders in stock. In some cases I even have different styles / designs that fit the same bulb.

To find a bulb socket that fits your bulb; find web page that lists your bulb and there will be a socket link listed if I have one that fits. (click help if needed.)
Installing replacement sockets is a job to be tackled only by experienced handymen, electricians or such. Replacement sockets often need modifications to the socket and your machine to fit your equipment properly, including bulb alignment. Often holes need to be drilled, wires crimped/soldered, rivets, bracket fabrication, etc...

After buying a socket from me, I recommend you hire your local Electronics / VCR repair shop to install it.

Your original sockets should last the life of your machine with a little care. If bulb and socket make poor connection, the connector will heat up and "eat-up" the socket. Might also cause a SERIOUS fire. You will extend your socket life tremendously if bulb and socket make good solid electrical connection. Use a fine wire brush to freshen up bulb contacts before installing new bulb in socket, and periodically (every six months or so) re-freshen up bulb's contacts. High amperage bulbs (5 amps and higher) need contacts cleaned more frequently. Anytime bulb contacts are dull, oxidized or corroded; freshen them up! Your sockets will thank you.

Thanks! - Don Schnapp
